Emily "Lili" Rochefort



Emily Rochefort, better known under her nickname, "Lili", is one of the new characters in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, alongside Sergei Dragunov. She is the only daughter of a wealthy oil magnate in Monaco. She is a sixteen-year-old girl whose fighting style is labeled as "Street Fighting". Lili became interested in fighting when she was kidnapped and held ransom, when she was twelve years old. She managed to take out one of her captors while struggling violently to free herself. This triggered her hunger for battle. Because her father is a good-hearted man who hates conflict, and because Lili loves her father very much and does not want him to be upset with her, Lili took part in street fighting tournaments around the world under the guise of a vacation from Monaco. Lili acquired an invitation to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 after defeating an opponent in San Francisco. Realizing that the Mishima Zaibatsu, the main source of her father's problems, is the sponsor of the tournament, Lili decides to enter the tournament so that she can put an end to her father's business troubles. In Tekken 6, however, Lili's father discovers that Lili was a participant in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, so he grounds her. This prevents Lili from getting revenge on Asuka Kazama, the person that defeated her in the tournament. Her father's oil fields were taken over by the Mishima Zaibatsu, particularly Asuka's cousin Jin. Lili enters The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to reclaim her father's company and ease her father's anxiety, caused by overworking himself.

Nothing is known about Lili's mother, as she has not been seen or mentioned in the series.


Nothing much is known of Lili yet, though she appears somewhat childish, compassionate and arrogant.

In general, Lili's behavior appears haughty, as she seems to strive for grace, beauty, and poise with every movement—even and especially during fights. She is also very confident in her fighting abilities, as shown by her winning and pre-match quotes. Her behavior, however, is split between efforts to sate her own need for fighting and a deep love for her father, who abhors violence. As an example of the latter, before fighting her Stage Four sub-boss, Ganryu, Lili says that he has robust eyebrows, just like her father's.

Lili is a Monegasque teenager with straight long honey-blonde hair trimmed with bangs that cover her forehead. Because of her love of fashion, Lili has four unique outfits. In Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection; her first outfit features a gray corset with gray denim jeans (with embroidery) and white shoes (possibly sneakers). Lili also has black wraps around her hands and a band around one of her arms. Her second outfit features a white Victorian-style dress that ends in a skirt, along with white boots and a red-and-black gingham-patterned ascot tie. This is described as her primary outfit. These costumes are also available for Lili in Tekken 6. Her third outfit, only featured in Tekken 6, features a red shirt with a black skirt, white stockings, and black shoes. This outfit may be customized to resemble a Federation uniform from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam. The last outfit, also featured in Tekken 6, is a purple sweater and dark pants, complete with a beret and sunglasses.

Her second outfit, and all of its customizations have a heavy Lolita theme, popularized in Japan. Headresses, miniture top hats, and glasses all suggest that her second costume is a obvious nod to the Lolita fashion style, and it complements Lili to such perfection, as the Lolita subcultures strive for elegance, grace, and beauty just as she strives for in her battles.


Her "street fighting" style appears to mix moves from classical dance and/or ballet. Other moves derive from gymnastics techniques, such as cartwheels and handstands. Some may say that it resembles a form of wushu. Others say that it may be tricking, a comparatively new martial art form.



TRIVIA


Lili is the currently the youngest (human) character in the Tekken series, as she is only sixteen years old in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Ling Xiaoyu was the only other character to debut at the age of sixteen.
One of Lili's customization parts is that of having the Prince of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy on her head. Another customization item is the ringlet hairstyle of Karin Kanzuki from Street Fighter Alpha 3, a character with whom she shares many similarities. Even more so, if her 2P outfit is changed to a completely red color, she appears to look completely like Karin.
Lili has a butler named Sebastian, who appears in her ending movie and is mentioned by Lili in two of her winning quotes.
In Tekken 6, Lili can be customized to look like a jockey.
Lili is the only character in Tekken who currently has long, untied hair (Christie Monteiro's hair had previously been untied in Tekken 4).
A Maxim model named Natalie starred as Lili in the Tekken Maxim Photoshoot for the Maxim magazine.
Even though the official language of Monaco is French and her last name is of French origin, Lili speaks English.
Lili's sub-boss in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is Ganryu.
Lili can be customized to somewhat resemble Elisabeth "Sissi" Delmas, a character from the France-produced animated television series Code Lyoko. All that is needed are three customizations: Bustier (color it pink), Punk Style (purple is the best color for it), and Black Hair. So far, however, you can only Sissify Lili in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, and it is unsure at the moment if you can do it in Tekken 6.
Lili's "Item Move" feature in Tekken 6 is a headdress that gives her a new grab move. The headdress must be either black or white. For it, she flips over her opponent, and then she strikes them with her rear. Afterwards, she starts waving with one of her hands. The command for this move is "d/b+1+2" ([1] and [2]).
In Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Lili's ascot tie was originally windblown. In Tekken 6, it is straight.
